Find Sacramento’s Best Travel Secrets

In the past Sacramento was only known for its farmlands but now, California’s capital is the center of an economic boom in not only agriculture but in the Farm-to-Fork movement among Sacramento restaurants and local companies.

Experience some of Sacramento’s most memorable locations, from the back alley shops to the new districts opening up across Midtown and Downtown, there is plenty of exploring to do in this amazing city. One of the best parts about California’s fastest growing city is the shopping. Sacramento is a destination like no other there are shopping options that never seem to end and a wide selection of dining options.

Sacramento features great shopping and dining options, with a wide array of options you are sure to satisfy your appetite and inner fashionista.

DOCO (Downtown Commons)
Home to the Sacramento Kings, the Golden1Center is located in the family-friendly DOCO common ground. You can window shop both retail and traditional shops including the Sacramento Kings team store. This is a great location to hang out with friends. Take advantage of Happy Hour specials at any of the restaurants scattered throughout DOCO.

There are 15 dining establishments at DOCO, my top picks are Punch Bowl Social, Burger Lounge and Haagen-Dazs ice cream for dessert. DOCO also hosts a free and fun family activity every second Saturday of the month. Keep up to date with their events calendar to plan your vacation around fun events at DOCO.

Scout Living
Scout Living is one of my favorite get-out-of-the-house shopping splurge destinations. Located in the heart of Midtown, it offers a wide range of mid-century, modern, vintage, and antique collections. There is something for everyone, from contemporary furniture to vinyl records. Don’t pass up the sales table on the way into the store! When you leave Scout Living keep an eye out for Zocalo Midtown, an elegant restaurant and bar with modern Mexican dishes and signature margaritas. Zcalo is perfect for a date night!
