Five Reasons to Choose Hilton Orlando Among SeaWorld Orlando Hotels

There are SO many hotels in Orlando, selecting one can seem overwhelming! Having lived in Orlando and worked at some of the area’s attractions, I know the metro Orlando area well.

We spent part of our spring break in Orlando to go to SeaWorld Orlando and Universal Studios and stayed at Hilton Orlando, which is conveniently located to both parks (just 1 1/2 and five miles away, respectively). We enjoyed our stay at the hotel as much as the parks! Here are five reasons Hilton Orlando is our top choice among SeaWorld Orlando hotels:

1. Convenient Location
If your plans include Universal Studios or SeaWorld, and you’re hoping to avoid some of the more touristy hotels, Hilton Orlando is a great choice.

The hotel is located at the quieter end of International Boulevard, Orlando’s main tourist thoroughfare. It’s a short drive to all of Orlando’s theme parks and many of the tourist attractions like Wet n’ Wild, Ripley’s Believe It or Not and family activities like mini-golf, but not in the midst of it all (read: traffic).

There is even a complimentary shuttle to SeaWorld. An extra bonus while staying at Hilton Orlando: We watched SeaWorld’s fireworks show from our hotel room!

2. Two words: Lazy River
Two other appealing words might also be “pool bar,” and Hilton Orlando has both. If you have young children, there’s no need to spend money on some of the nearby water parks like Wet n’ Wild and Aquatica, both which might be overwhelming for new swimmers. They can easily be entertained by the lazy river (floats provided), the water slide, and poolside games at Hilton Orlando.

Theme park lines seem far away as you float down the lazy river at Hilton Orlando.

Older kids may still want to go to the water parks, but they’ll appreciate having a pool to splash in after spending time at the parks on a hot Florida day. Mom and Dad sure enjoyed an iced cold drink from the poolside bar, too!

3. Truly Resort Service
Everything a vacationer needs to relax is on the hotel’s premises: a full-service spa, tennis court, nine-hole putting green, basketball court, and fitness room. There are many places to eat on International Drive, but we really enjoyed staying at the hotel and eating at David’s Club (a gastropub) and Spencer’s (a steakhouse — you’ll need reservations at this popular spot).

There is also the Marketplace store, where you can find freshly made sandwiches, pizzas and salads and all the makings for a picnic or snacks for a day at the parks. We also took full advantage of the full-service Starbucks on-site.

4. Attuned to Your Needs
With the Orange County Convention Center a short distance away, Hilton Orlando is attuned to accommodating both conventioneers and vacationers. Even though it was evident to us that there were a lot of business guests, we did not feel at all like we were staying at a business hotel.

Families who might accompany a parent staying at Hilton Orlando on business can be assured that there are plenty of fun activities at the hotel and close by to keep kids entertained. What’s more, during the spring and summer months, the Kid’s Club offers an array of activities for children, like making s’mores in the outdoor firepits.

5. Great Customer Service
I place a lot of value on customer service, and appreciate businesses like Hilton Orlando that make it a priority. Every hotel employee we encountered, from the massage therapist in the spa, the concierge and the waiters at the restaurant were all helpful, professional and proficient in their jobs.

When our travel plans take us to the vacation capital of the world, I look forward to our next opportunity to stay at Hilton Orlando, one of the best SeaWorld Orlando hotels. You can find me floating in the lazy river with a mango smoothie in hand!
