Inside L.A. LIVE in Downtown Los Angeles
Located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, L.A. LIVE is the home to some of the biggest and best restaurants, venues and attractions the city has to offer. Just a short walk from one of our favorite hotels, Hilton Checkers, the campus is home to the Los Angeles Convention Center, STAPLES Center, Microsoft Theater, The GRAMMY Museum and restaurants from tops chefs like Wolfgang Puck and Ben Ford.
What to do at L.A. LIVE
There is always something going on at L.A. LIVE. You can bowl a couple games with the family at Lucky Strike Lanes & Lounge, take in a Family Day or the latest premiere at Regal Cinema Stadium 14, or hit up a Lakers Game or Disney On Ice because everything is right at your disposal. And don’t worry if you just found out your favorite band is performing that night because there is even a StubHub office, as well as the Microsoft Theater box office, right on property where you can score last minute tickets.
One of our favorite things to do while visiting the area is see the latest exhibits on display at The GRAMMY Museum. It’s really a special place for those interested in music and actually quite fascinating to those just looking for something different to do. With multiple floors dedicated to artists, genres, collections and the behind-the-scenes workings of recording studios, there are many hands-on interactive showcases suited for all-ages. The GRAMMY Museum really caters to young visitors with fun features and educational programs.

Tip: It’s not uncommon for big name musicians like Dave Matthews and Stevie Nicks to play live intimate shows inside the 200-seat Clive Davis Theater, so make sure to grab a schedule or check online before you go.
The Microsoft Theater at L.A. Live is also the home to many award shows like The GRAMMY Awards, BET Awards, and People’s Choice Awards, so if you time your visit right, you could be Instagramming from the bleachers photos of the biggest names in show business as they walk the red carpet.
