How to Spend 24 Hours on I-Drive in Orlando

Are you wondering how you can make the most of 24 hours on International Drive? Well, here’s a few ideas that will help!

International Drive, known as I-Drive, is a 14-mile strip in the center of Orlando with world-class dining, entertainment, and nightlife. I-Drive serves as Orlando’s tourism passageway with hotels and iconic Orlando attractions like SeaWorld, Universal Orlando, and Ripley’s Believe it or Not. In 2018, I-Drive received over $2 billion in development which helped make the strip a perfect place for a staycation or break from the Theme Parks. For $2 per ride, you can easily navigate the strip with the I-Ride Trolley, or purchase a day pass for just $5. Read below for a cheat-sheet on how to experience the best of I-Drive in just 24 hours!

Two Words – BOTTOMLESS BRUNCH. The brunch at Café Tu Tu Tango is not your ordinary brunch. They serve a bottomless brunch featuring mouthwatering tapas like breakfast tacos, monkey bread, and chilaquiles. The real treat at Tango are the artists who come to paint throughout the restaurant while you dine. Local artists also display their artwork in the restaurant, which creates a vibrant atmosphere. Book a reservation in advance to avoid a long line.

If tapas are not your thing and you want a more traditional breakfast, head over to Hash House A Go Go. Hash House serves traditional breakfast favorites with a mid-western twist. Some of our favorites are the sage fried chicken benedict and pumpkin pancakes. You also can’t go wrong with any of their hashes, especially the corned beef!

Take a short walk over to Pointe Orlando or hop on the aforementioned trolley and head to the Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets for a little retail therapy.

Pointe Orlando features a variety of retail shops like Charming Charlies, Victoria’s Secret, and Hollister. There is also a Regal IMAX stadium, bowling alley, and WonderWorks: an Instagram post worthy amusement park. The Orlando WonderWorks location is one of only six in the world and the building is a stunning “upside-down” museum. All exhibits here are interactive including laser tag and a three-story rope course.

The Orlando Premium Outlets is one of the best luxury shopping malls in the country with over 160 stores. Here you will find luxury brands like Prada, Burberry, and Jimmy Choo. There are also several well-known favorites like Forever 21, Aldo, and Nike. The discounted prices typically range between 25% and 65% off!

After spending some time shopping, visit one of the unique Orlando Experiences like Sleuths Mystery Dinner Show or Andretti Indoor Karting and Games.

Andretti’s is the spot for an adrenaline rush. As a top sports complex, it houses an arcade, laser tag, and some of the fastest go karts in the nation. The track uses powerful Sodi LRX electric karts which reach speeds up to 50 miles per hour! There is also a full-service restaurant and bar in case you need a bite to eat. Andretti is ranked as one of the top Orlando experiences and a must-do attraction.

Sleuths is a mystery comedy show where the audience solves the crime via a live interrogation. Guests are given the opportunity to participate in the show by making a cameo appearance. Unlimited beer, wine, and soft drinks are included in the admission price.

After Hours
If live music is your thing, Howl at the Moon, Tin Roof, and Lafayette’s Music Room are the best options. Howl at the Moon has dueling pianos and the pianist takes request, while Tin Roof hosts rock and top 40 cover bands. Lafayette’s Music Room is a real treat with local musicians playing Americana, Country, Rock, Bluegrass, and Jazz!

Orlando StarFlyer is the largest swing ride in the world and is located just a few steps from I-Drive resorts. This ride lifts you 450ft into the air and swings you around at 60mph for three minutes. It’s best to ride StarFlyer at night for breathtaking views as it is equipped with over 200,000 LED lights. Icon Orlando is another gravity-defying late-night attraction and a little less daunting than StarFlyer. This Ferris-wheel like observation wheel stands at 400ft. If you purchase your tickets ahead of time online, you can skip the line and save a few dollars.
