3 Stops for a Unique Winter Experience in New York City
Winter is one of the best and busiest times of the year to enjoy all that NYC has to offer. If you are planning a trip for the 2017 holiday season, we’ve put together some of our favorite suggestions, ensuring that you will have a memorable visit to the Big Apple.
The Rink at Brookfield Place with Gregory and Petukhov
While NYC has a few well-known ice skating rinks (Wollman Rink in Central Park, The Rink at Rockefeller Center, etc.) throughout the city, The Rink at Brookfield Place with Gregory and Petukhov might offer the most unique ice skating experience in town. For a one-of-a-kind holiday memory, The Rink has partnered with two American Olympic skaters, Melissa Gregory and Denis Petukhov, who not only serve as directors but also offer private ice skating lessons to Guests. For an even more memorable experience, Guests can book the Conrad Skate package, which offers Guests a luxuriously appointed stay at Conrad New York, directly across from The Rink, a special Olympic gift from The Rink, breakfast at the hotel and private skating lessons. The package is available through February, while The Rink is open until March 2017.
Public Fare and Bryant Park
The weekends are meant for exploring. And if you have a few hours to spare, you’ll want to make sure you stop by Union Square Hospitality Groups’ Public Fare, a fine-casual dining experience on the northeast corner of The Rink at Bryant Park. In addition to the creative eats, the entire Bryant Park Skating Pavilion is filled with visual and social media worthy sights. You could easily fill half a day at Bryant Park while skating and munching on an array of seasonal pastries, sandwiches, salads and snacks with a coffee bar, café and full bar. Public Fare will remain open until March 3, 2018.
Brooklyn Flea + SoHo
For unique finds when traveling to NYC, visitors can now shop like locals in Brooklyn Fleas’ trendy SoHo location, featuring 60 vendors indoors every Saturday and Sunday at 100 Avenue of the Americas. Find vintage clothing, unique art and cool gift options for the holidays. The Winter Flea is open through March 2017, every Saturday and Sunday from 10 am – 6 pm.
