The Top 5 Popular Attractions To Visit In Dubai

  • Beach at Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Resort

  • Refreshing Hilton Pool

  • Waldorf Astoria Beach

  • terrace and beach - Hilton Dubai

Dubai is well known for its warm hospitality and rich cultural heritage. This especially shows through the hashtag, #MyDubai, a social media project started by Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. People have used the hashtag more than 13 Million times sharing photos and videos of the emirate.

With year-round sunshine, beautiful beaches, luxurious hotels and shopping malls, a thriving business community and more, there’s no wonder why Dubai’s millions of visitors capture the city so often!

During your visit (I suggest between October to April), check out my top 5 picks of the most iconic attractions in Dubai:

1. Burj Khalifa

The Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world; at 828 meters, it is a sight to behold! With 160 floors, be sure to stop at the observation deck on the 124th floor. Views at ‘The Top’ will blow your mind.

2. Dubai Desert 4×4 Safari

Venture through the desert with Arabic entertainment and dinner on this 7-hour experience starting in Dubai. Board an open-top 4X4 with a driver, and watch for wildlife as you drive into the Dubai Desert. See a falconry display and continue to a Bedouin-style camp. Included are a camel ride, a bread-making demonstration, a delicious dinner, and live music and dancing displays.

3. The Dubai Fountain

If you’ve been to Vegas, you may have already seen the Belaggio fountains; but trust me! Dubai does it bigger. It’s spectacular watching the fountain rise to 150 meters high! It’s best to go at night to see the light show, too.

The fountain is situated at the base of Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall – the world’s biggest mall and something to experience in itself. There are numerous restaurants alongside the fountain; it’s advised to make reservations in advance.

4. Palm Jumeirah

The Palm Jumeirah Island is the world’s largest man-made island. It features themed hotels, villas, apartment buildings, beaches, and marinas.

To visit Palm Jumeirah, take a taxi to the Palm Gateway Monorail Station; then Monorail to the top where most of the attractions are located (such as Aquaventure Waterpark and The Lost Chambers Aquarium).

5. Gold and Spice Souk in Deira

A stroll through the Gold Souk is a must. The stores offer gold, platinum, diamonds and silver – rest assured that your purchases are genuine! Meanwhile, the Spice Souk offers a colourful array with heady scents, rice, incense, shisha, perfumes and pottery. The Hilton Dubai Creek is located just 20 minute drive away from the Gold Souk.
