Napa’s Top 3 Wineries In One Day
With so much to do in the Bay Area, it can be hard to squeeze everything into your travel schedule. But no matter how busy that travel schedule gets, it’s an absolute must to visit a nearby vineyard!
One of my favorite places to skip over to when visiting San Francisco or Sacramento is a quick day-trip to Napa. I know, I know… you’re thinking, “where to start?!” With so many wineries to choose from, here are my top 3 picks for a day in Napa:
Start the day off with a wonderful walking and tasting tour at Starmont Winery. Their gorgeous layout allows you to discover their vineyards and taste wine along the way. If you prefer to sit back and relax, the outdoor seating provides a tranquil area to catch early morning rays.
Peju combines art and wine into one seamless experience. Enjoy freshly made pizza from their outdoor oven made with ingredients straight from their garden. During the summertime, their misting hoses keep you cool under the Napa Valley sun in the heart of their vineyards.
Visiting during the holidays? Peju grows one of my favorite seasonal fruits: the pomegranate! They harvest their 200 trees just in time for specialty winter and fall recipes.
Recommended as the last stop for a day in Napa is Chimney Rock Winery. The beautiful setting provides the perfect backdrop to end your day; Rolling hills and flowers are mere highlights of this winery.
Where to Stay in Napa
Embassy Suites by Hilton Napa Valley is my top pick. I always feel like home when I come to this property. Wake up to a full breakfast, and hit the road back to your destination with a satisfied stomach.
Another fantastic hotel choice: The Hilton Garden Inn Napa. With a beautiful outdoor pool and great amenities, this hotel is perfect for a getaway right in the heart of wine country.
